Almond and Vanilla Bean Milk Jelly Pauls Zymil is the easy to digest milk, created for the one in four Australians who may experience discomfort after digesting milk.

Recently conducted research has found that one in four respondents can have difficulty digesting milk*. This difficulty can be anything from slight discomfort to extreme symptoms and as a result many Australians could be limiting their intake of milk to avoid these issues, potentially missing out on the nutritional benefits. Milk is a core staple in most households and provides a natural source of protein, vitamins and minerals including calcium - all essential to good health. However, recent research conducted for Parmalat Australia has shown that 25% of respondents have difficulty digesting milk all or some of the time.

Pauls Zymil is simply regular milk that is easy to digest because it is lactose free. This means that people, who may find regular milk difficult to digest, may still be able to enjoy the taste of fresh milk without it leading to an uncomfortable feeling. According to nutritionist, Dr. Eithne Cahill, milk is a nutritionally valuable food in the diet. "Individuals, who experience some level of discomfort after consuming milk, may be avoiding milk altogether. As a result they miss out on all the nutritional goodness of milk, especially the mineral calcium, which is important for good bone health. "Pauls Zymil is identical to regular milk except that there is no lactose, and also like regular milk is gluten free and rich in calcium, with 39% of the recommended daily intake of calcium per serve," Dr. Cahill says.

How Zymil has the same source of dairy protein, is rich in calcium, a source of B Vitamins and has the same great taste as regular milk, but it doesn’t contain lactose.

Pauls Zymil is appropriate for any occasion. It’s tasty on cereal, in coffee, tea and smoothies, great for baking, in desserts, or for making savouries and sauces.

Pauls Zymil is now available in one litre full cream or low fat cartons in the chilled dairy cabinet of the supermarket, or in one litre low fat long-life packs in the grocery aisle of supermarkets in most states and territories.

Ingredients:
10g gelatine
550ml Pauls Zymil Full Cream Milk
80g sliced almonds, toasted
1 vanilla pod, chopped
50g sugar
Pinch salt
Fresh berries
Lactose free yoghurt
3 drops almond essence

Method:
1. Sprinkle gelatine over 50ml of Pauls Zymil Full Cream Milk in a small bowl
2. Place 500ml of Pauls Zymil Full Cream Milk, chopped vanilla and almonds in a blender and blend until smooth
3. Strain through a sieve into a medium saucepan, discard solids
4. Stir in sugar, salt and almond extract, and bring to a boil
5. Add gelatine mixture, stirring until dissolved
6. Remove from heat
7. Grease a baking tray and line with plastic wrap
8. Pour mixture into prepared tray and set in fridge overnight
9. Cut into squares and serve chilled with fresh berries and yoghurt
