Australia Finds its Top Young Fashion Designer

If you are suffering from withdrawals from Project Runway, get set to catch Australia’s young fashion stars starting this Friday on Foxtel’s Aurora Channel.

2008 is the first time the Apex Australia Teenage Fashion Awards will be broadcast on Australia’s Community Channel. This impressive TV program showcases and follows the talents of some of Australia’s up and coming young Australian Fashion Designers.

Throughout the 7 week series you will meet young designers and follow their fortunes through to the National Final. The designers compete in state finals with the first three places of each category going through to the National Final.

Showing every Friday at 8pm the show can be found on Channel 183 on the Foxtel, Optus and Austar networks. Sneak previews are now available on Youtube, just search under AATFA.

The designers are judged not only on their physical design, but also on the quality of construction and the suitability of fabrics used.

Said Helen Sattler of f.rock fashion, special guest at the AATFA National Final.
