On Thursday the 28th June, over 1200 women got together, got glamorous and raised money to support mothers whose children are living with cancer at the 7th annual Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend Gala Dinner.

The tickets were the hottest in town and as always it sold out long before the date.

Hosts Jennifer Hansen, and her husband, 1 very brave Alan Fletcher (the only man allowed at the event!), set the target to raise a total of $100,000: which they achieved with a little extra on top!

The place to be seen was the Yellow Glen Bubbly Bar, where just by buying a glass (or many!) of champagne, you could go into the draw to win an $8000, 1 carat diamond pendant kindly donated by our long time supporters PH Diamonds.

Out in the foyer everyone could also take a break and get their hair, make up and nails touched up by the girls from Masci Hair, Trading Faces and Elly Lucas.

The girls partied well into the night to bands Bjorn Again and Popcorn, with hands waiving in the air as everyone hit the dance floor.

There was ferocious bidding on the main and silent auction items, but it didn’t matter if you missed out- everyone was sent home with a gift bag with over $100 worth of goodies inside.

A massive thanks to everyone who supported this event with their donations, time and attendance. We look forward to seeing everyone next year for a awsome girls night out that supports kids with cancer.
