A national survey conducted by Coles reveals that more and more women are heading down their local supermarket aisle for everyday beauty essentials. In a growing trend that sees women embracing budget beauty, the survey indicates that beauty and personal care items account for one-fifth of the Australian grocery basket and that one in two women rely on their local grocery store for emergency beauty buys.
The survey also showed nine in ten women add their day and/or night cream to their grocery bill, while seven in ten purchase everyday essentials like mascara and eyeliner.
