27th NRA Australian Fashion Design Awards

Lisa Brown of label Lisa Brown won the AMP Capital Shopping Centres Supreme Award for her winning entry in the Lifestyle category presented by Evolve Make-Up. The winning entry was a glamorous bohemian collection made from bronze, coral and printed silks and was chosen for its depiction of modern lifestyle.

The AMP Capital Shopping Centres Supreme Award winner, Lisa Brown receives more than $40,000 in prizes including a Mitsubishi Lancer, $5,000 from American Express, and the Supreme Award trophy.

  • Soul by Juniper Award for Fashion Excellence- This year Collette Dinnigan was recognised for her outstanding designs and contribution to the fashion industry.
  • Australian Designer Showcase presented by Myer - A select group of iconic Australian fashion designers each presented a collection from their current line.
  • New Generations Showcase presented by Mitsubishi Australia - Five of Australia’s rising fashion stars were selected to present their collections in this exciting new showcase co-hosted by Peter Morrissey. The chosen designers include: George Wu by George Wu (Qld); Marsha Vetolskiy by Marsha Vetolskiy (NSW); ARTSU by Nik Philpott (NSW); Dhini by Dhini Pararajasingham (Vic); and Story by Tang by Christine Tang (WA)
  • National Retail Showcase presented by AMP Capital Shopping Centres - Australia’s leading fashion retailers - Myer, Bras n Things, FCUK, Seed, Connor and David Jones presented the hottest fashion looks for 2008.
  • Bose Viewers’ Choice Awards - Television viewers voted for their favourite design in two categories: Bose Viewers’ Choice - Kids and Bose Viewers’ Choice Bridal.
