Jessie Hill's Springtime Butterflies Explode at Sportsgirl

Sportsgirl are proud to team up with the innovative Jessie Hill for their next designer collaboration. Like Sportsgirl, Jessie Hill approaches her collections with a unique sense of style that is playful, wearable - and always evolving.

Jessie Hill began her career at just 17, moving to Los Angeles to work as a stylist for MTV. Her independent sense of fashion soon caught the attention of the international fashion community.

Launching her own label in 2007, Hill is known for combining her two great loves; art and design, to create garments that tell a collective story. Drawing on cultural references and pop culture icons, everyone from Mia Farrow through to Salvador Dali, Jessie crafts a vision which she then applies across all of her pieces.

Her collection for Sportsgirl is called 'Butterfly Explosion' inspired by the music revolution of the 60's - all things seductive, free and feminine, with a touch of Jessie Hill's signature dark edge.

There are seve styles in the collection - all perfect for the spring social season.

Collection highlights include a highly detailed pleated day dress in a vibrant coral red, a must-have skirt accessorised with a chunky gold zip and a tailored high waist pair of silk shorts. The standout piece is the perfect picnic dress in a silk chiffon / jersey mix with crystal bead embellishments in leopard pattern.

Black and coral, mixed back with a stunning abstract digital silk print represent the swirl of colour and movement of butterfly wings.

Sportsgirl recognise Jessie Hill as a true new design talent and love her ability to produce designs which are consistently and distinctively her own, regardless of the reference or influence.

In its continued support of emerging home grown talent, the Sportsgirls Like program is now in its fifth successful year - taking the best Aussie fashion from the runways, directly into the wardrobes of Sportsgirl's everywhere.
