The Miggy Tree

The Miggy Tree is a beautiful book that every mum would be delighted to
receive and every child would be thrilled to read.
This emotive
book was written as a gift by Karl Yeomans for his own mum, Margot, more
affectionately known as Miggy.
Sadly, in 2006, when Karl was
only 33, his life was cut short by a malignant brain tumour. Shortly
after his death his wife, Julie Buxton, decided to bring this touching
poem to life as a wonderfully illustrated book, and a precious fit for
both their two-year-old son Marlow, and his grandma, Miggy.
Karl’s eloquent and quirky prose is complemented by a set of exquisite
original illustrations by Anna Walker, whisking us away to the magical,
whimsical world of The Miggy Tree.
Delicate images and rhymes
will make this book a child’s treasure, while any parent will appreciate
the sentiment behind this charming one-of-a-kind-book, which would make
a fabulous Mother’s Day, or just-because-I-love-you gift.
‘Immortal or not,
she’s a marvelous tree,
always most loved
by all will she be.
As a seed from the warmth
of this plant’s woody tum,
I thank god and the stars
For my Miggy Tree mum.’
