The Simpsons Characters
Homer J Simpson
A devoted husband, Homer leaves his wife with few complaints. When pressed, however, Marge did once acknowledge to a marriage counselor that Homer "forgets birthdays, anniversaries, holidays (both religious and secular), chews with his mouth open, hangs out at a seedy bar with bums and lowlifes, blows his nose in towels and puts them back, and scratches himself with his keys." Despite these few foibles, Homer loves his family, and he'll do just about anything to prove it - even if that means making himself look foolish.
Homer Simpson's favourite book is "So, You've Decide to Steal Cable", which also happens to be the most recent book/pamphlet he has read. When he's not reading, Homer enjoys drinking beer, at home or at Moe's, and eating as much as he can at Greasy Joe's or the Frying Dutchman (which he almost put out of business for it's 'All you can eat night', and has since been added to the wall of fame and labeled 'Bottomless Pete: Nature's Cruelest Mistake'.
Sometimes frustrated at being fat and bald, Homer enjoys flashbacks to his youth when he had a full head of hair. He's the luckiest man alive for despite his ridiculous ideas and constant blunders, Marge, Bart, Lisa & Maggie always eventually give in to his happy-go-lucky nature and dependency on them for survival.
Marge Bouvier Simpson
Marge Simpson is the putty that holds the Simpson family together week after week. By sensibly drawing the line at such frivolous expenses as an electric garage door opener and changes of clothing for her children, Marge manages to stretch Homer's modest salary to cover the tremendous costs incurred by the family, including Beer, Donuts, and plenty of meat.
However Marge doesn't just bake cookies and stand by her man, she has been on both sides of the thin blue line. Not only has she served in Springfield's police department, but her freewheeling neighbor Ruth Powers adventured on the wild side. She's worked at the power plant, where Mongomery Burns took a shine to her. Marge has and adventurous side but is bound to her family code inevitably choosing the safe path.
Bart Simpson
Bart Simpson is the most misunderstood Simpson. He is constantly frustrated by the narrow minded people of Springfield who judge him merely by his thoughts and actions. At heart, he's just a good kid with a few bad ideas, and a couple of really bad ideas. Basically, Bart is no different from any ordinary fourth grader. He enjoys skateboarding, bubble gum, Squishees and single handedly bringing a homicidal TV sidekick to justice, sideshow Bob. He Crusty the clown's biggest fan and will do anything to revive his show.
Labeled as an 'underachiever' by authority figures, Bart rides an academic roller coaster, his grades running the loop-the-loop from F to D-minus. But he can be ingenious when the chips are down - as long as his ingenuity is never applied to anything school related.
His first words as a baby were "Aye Carumba!" This thrill seeking carefree child tries his hardest not to show the real sensitive guy inside. 'Don't have a cow man!'
Lisa Simpson
Lisa Simpson takes after her mother with Marge's common sense, hard work ethic and sympathy for others. Lisa's enormous intelligence and moral authority place her in a unique position in the Simpson family & the Springfield community at large.
The favourite for parent/teacher nights (being offer cookies as opposed to a bill for property damage from Bart's teacher), Lisa an adult stuck in second grade. Lisa vents her frustration through her beloved saxophone. An overachiever Lisa's constant strive for perfection, knowledge and the truth leads her to surprising adventures that show us that behind that clever little mind and precocious attitude there is a little girl who loves to be a Simpson.
Maggie Simpson
Over the years we've watched Maggie grow from a cute pacifier-sucking infant into a cute pacifier-sucking infant who's first word was 'daddy'. For an infant who can neither talk nor walk, Maggie leads and exciting and rewarding life. The quite achiever Maggie has been the savor for Daycare Babies and Homer. The calmest and most well behaved baby of all time, Maggie shows us occasionally her dark & futuristic side, but will she ever talk.
