Girl Guides Australia will celebrate the start of 2010 - the Year of the Girl Guide - with the Australian Centenary Event (ACE) camp in Geelong, VIC, from 3-9 January 2010.

More than 2,500 Girl Guides from around Australia and nine other countries will descend on the camp located on the outskirts of Geelong during the second
week of January, celebrating 100 years of Girl Guides, during what's been
designated by the Federal Government, the Year of the Girl Guide.

Girl Guides Victorian State Commissioner Noella Kershaw says she is thrilled
Victoria will host the ACE camp during this all important year and is looking
forward to welcoming local and international Girl Guides and Guide Leaders to
the camp in Geelong.
