2016 Great Bake Sale

Muffin Break launched the 2016 Great Bake Sale on Monday 29th August 2016, encouraging schools across the nation to take part in its annual fundraising campaign. The four-week digital campaign will be open to all primary schools and high schools; with up to $5,000 in prizes up for grabs for the winning school of each Australian state and a grand prize of $7,000 for the national winner.

Now in its fifth year, the campaign will see students, parents, teachers and school representatives vote for their school on the Muffin Break Facebook page and then compete for the highest number of votes to win. Votes are adjusted by school, so every school has a genuine chance! Anyone can vote, and people can track the progress of their school by viewing the Great Bake Sale leader board on the Facebook page. Participants simply need to find their school on the Muffin Break Facebook page, and vote before close on Sunday 25th September 2016. Schools can easily drive votes by sharing the Great Bake Sale with their friends and family. Schools will also be able to download a poster kit to help communicate voting for their school.

The winning school from each state will each receive a $1,000 cash card, and 500 freshly baked muffins to raise up to $2,000, at their own bake sale on a date of their choosing. Money raised through this bake sale goes directly to the school for educational programs or activities. This year the national winner will receive a grand prize of $5,000 for funding towards a school project and 500 freshly baked muffins to raise up to $2,000 at their own bake sale on a date of their choosing.
