On Sunday 2 June, 33 year old Joanne Tremonti will attempt to conquer the long, dry and dusty 90 kilometres between the cities of Pietermaritzburg and Durban in South Africa on foot in one of the worlds greatest ultra marathons.
Joanne took up running because her father was a keen runner. It was a shock to all her family when last year her father Gerry was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.
Parkinson's Victoria is working to reduce the day to day impact of Parkinson's on individuals, carers and families whilst at the same time helping to find a cure for this condition. You can help too by sponsoring Joanne in Comrades to support the work Parkinson's Victoria does at this website: Everydayhero.com.au/joanne_tremonti_2
