New, eight-part sci-fi drama series Intergalactic, starring Eleanor Tomlinson, Parminder Nagra, Sharon Duncan-Brewster and Craig Parkinson, will premiere Saturday 1 May, same day as the U.K. and only on Stan.

Set in the 23rd century, the brand new sci-fi drama series Intergalactic follows four female criminals who escape an off-planet prison and break free into the cosmos.

This action-packed, brand new drama is written by award-winning showrunner Julie Gearey (Prisoners' Wives, Cuffs, Secret Diary of a Call Girl).

Intergalactic follows Ash Harper (Savannah Steyn), a young cop and galactic pilot wrongly convicted of a treasonous crime whose fellow convicts break free and go on the run across a distant galaxy. A quest for freedom, Intergalactic is a sci-fi drama like no other full of action, adventure and intrigue.

The eight-part series features adrenaline-fuelled performances from an ensemble cast including Thomas Turgoose, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Natasha O'Keeffe, Oliver Coopersmith, Imogen Daines and new comer Diany Samba-Bandza.

Intergalactic is produced by Moonage Pictures and Motion Content Group, in association with Tiger Aspect Productions for Sky Studios and was commissioned by Zai Bennett, Managing Director of Content at Sky and Cameron Roach, Sky's Director of Drama at Sky Studios. Paul Gilbert and Serena Thompson are the executive producers for Sky Studios. The series is executive produced by showrunner Julie Gearey, director Kieron Hawkes (Fortitude, Power, Strike), Iona Vrolyk for Tiger Aspect Productions and Frith Tiplady for Moonage Pictures. Will Gould and Matthew Read for Moonage Pictures and Richard Foster and Tony Moulsdale for Motion Content Group are also executive producers.

The brand new series Intergalactic premieres 1 May, only on Stan.
