The local Dawn Service conducted at the War Memorial on North Terrace will be shown from 9am as a precursor to live coverage of the ANZAC Day March that commences at 9.35am. Following the march there will be a tribute featuring the recollections of some remarkable local veterans who served in some of the key battles of 1942, followed by live coverage of the Service of Remembrance at the Cross of Sacrifice. The telecast will be hosted by Ian Henschke (891 Adelaide, mornings) who will be joined by respected academic, author and writer Professor Bill Gammage. 891 Adelaide's 'night owl' Peter Goers, will be out and about 'on the buses' chatting with veterans who, although no longer able to complete the march on foot, are still as keen as ever to be a part of this very important day.
