Set in Kenya's magnificent Masai Mara, Big Cat Diary tells the true-life stories of the adventures of totally wild animals. This is one of the most wonderful places in the world to watch lion, leopard and cheetah in their natural environment.

Over the course of seven years, specialist camera teams have documented the true-life diaries of two lion prides, two cheetah families and a mother leopard and her family, allowing viewers to enter into their adventures and follow their progress.

A very personal relationship develops between the humans and big cats as the filmmakers record their daily routines and ups and downs. The unfolding stories are weaved together into a compelling story of life in the wild, the struggle for survival. Battles over territory, the search for food and shelter and the perilous task of raising cubs in a world full of predators are a part of each day for the big cats of the African Plains.
