Bloom College Chakra Workshop

Bloom College Chakra Workshop

Bloom College to commence first of its kind hybrid workshop to awaken the seven chakras

Melbourne's leading floristry school, Bloom College, will launch its inaugural Chakra Workshop which will use bespoke yoga and flower arranging practices to awaken the seven chakras.

Curated and led by founder and CEO of Bloom College, Yvette Timmins, and yoga instructor, Emma Hay, the immersion, which is the first of its kind in Melbourne, will combine yoga, meditation and flower arranging techniques to discover energy, creativity, focus, love, communication, wisdom and spirit.

Having suffered from mental illness herself, Yvette utilised the therapeutic blend of flower arranging and yoga to steer her back on course from severe depression and anxiety.

"Both yoga and flower arranging help to put us into a parasympathetic state, allowing our bodies and mind to relax into a state of flow, where time does not exist and we are able to feel at one with our bodies, minds, nature; the universe and the souls around us including our own," she says.

Timmins believes that yoga and flower arranging, in conjunction with meditation, offer us a healthy, wholesome, self-sustaining alternative to the usual -go to's' of food and alcohol to combating any low moods.

The workshop is designed to take students on a journey to understand the significance, emotional expression and power each of the seven chakras has on the physical body and the

mind.

The immersion will commence with a 1 hour yoga practice which will include teachings of the chakras and a mediation, followed by a chakra healing tea and a meditative, creative flower workshop.
