A Different Kind Of Shoe Love

Oh Crap Did I Step In Gum Again?
Should bubblegum and plastic be used in the same sentence as shoes? Brazilian shoe brand Melissa has teamed up with Vivienne Westwood to give us Bubblegum scented shoes! These colorful, funky and plastic shoes are made from granulated scented PVC which is melted at 160'c then transformed into flats, wedges and low heels, with a new children's range out now. Not only are these shoes great for hiding that sour smell of your feet, but the company are very eco- conscious towards our dying environment. The production factory recycles 99.9% of waste and water used to make the shoes, which is outstanding considering how bad burning plastic is for the environment.
In some ways I cant imagine after a long period of wearing the shoes the smell of foot odor and bubblegum would mix well, it would smell more like when you walk into a public toilet that has been sprayed with a lovely cherry odor and you think to your self, im sure the toilet would have smelt better without any fragrance.
But after reading a lot about these shoes, I had to purchase some for myself and I can tell you this much people LOVE these shoes and many people have started a collection of them. I brought a pair of flats and yes they do smell like you can eat them but plastic looking shoes just don't knock my socks off, but ill keep you all posted for they are yet to smell like a public toilet, so far they were are great conversation starter!
