Job Description
I develop Internet and Intranet sites using Lotus Notes. The sites I develop are medium to large in size and functionality. E.g., E-Commerce, dynamic pages, E-Cards etc..

I played and coached tennis full time.
What inspired you to choose this particular career?
I just fell into it. I was working in Marketing, and through my computer knowledge I ended up looking after a software company's Internet site and just went from there...
What qualifications are needed to work in this field?
As much as possible, the more you know, the better. These days the Internet is not just a simple page. You can never know enough. The basics are HTML, Java Java script.
What are the best aspects about your job?
The best aspect is that you get to work on some very exciting sites, that is, celebrity or popular sites. It's a challenging career because the technology changes so quickly and you have to keep up with it.
What are the worst aspects?
There are times when long hours are required. 24-hour days are not unheard of and sometimes the work can be tedious.
How many years' experience do you have in this field?
I have three and a half years experience.
Are there many employment opportunities?
There are heaps of employment opportunities because people are always required for this type of work.
