Cancer Council's Daffodil Day

Friday 22 August is Daffodil Day, a national day of hope which provides an opportunity for Australians to contribute to a cancer-free future.   

People are encouraged to show they care this August by wearing a Cancer Council pin, volunteering or getting down to a Daffodil Day site on the day.  

Daffodil Day is the largest national fundraising event of its kind in the southern hemisphere and in 2014 Cancer Council NSW hopes to raise $3.2 million in support of the day. 

Over 5,000 volunteers will staff more than 600 Daffodil Day sites across NSW. 

It is predicted that 45,245 people will be diagnosed with cancer and 14,438 will die from it across NSW in 2016.

Supporting Cancer Council's Daffodil Day shows those who are affected by cancer that people care about better treatments, more support, advocacy and a cancer-free future.
