Canon Australia today expands its iconic IXUS compact zoom camera series with the introduction of the IXUS 285 HS, IXUS 180 and IXUS 175. Ideal for when you're on the move, and designed to adapt to any shooting situation, Canon's slimmest cameras combine impressive image and video quality, unique creative features and enhanced connectivity enabling you to capture all of life's exciting moments in an instant.

You will be ready for any subject with the IXUS 285 HS, IXUS 175 and IXUS 180. All three models feature an impressive ultra wide-angle and 8x, 10x and 12x optical zooms, which can be extended with ZoomPlus to shoot even closer, all in optimum quality. The Auto Zoom function lets you concentrate on capturing special moments by intelligently zooming in or out to compose your shot according to the number of people within the frame.

All three new models feature a dedicated Movie Record Button, so you can now easily record stunning movies at the touch of a button. Both IXUS 285 HS and IXUS 180 also feature Intelligent Image Stabilizer technology, which constantly adapts to the scene to ensure you get the best images and movies, even when you are on the move.

Unleash your creativity with the IXUS 285 HS's Creative Shot – with a simple click of the shutter, the camera automatically applies five extra unique filters, perfect to surprise your friends and family with artistic and sharable results. The IXUS 285 HS also removes the need for post-editing, with Story Highlights allowing you to relive  your memories in the palm of your hand, automatically creating a highlight movie using clips of selected people or selected date.

Equipped with the best of Canon's imaging technology, the IXUS 285 HS includes an impressive 20.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, while the IXUS 180 and IXUS 175 pack a 20 megapixel sensor. Share your images with friends

Sharing your memories is simple the new IXUS range's Wi-Fi and Dynamic NFC functionalities. You can start connecting at the touch of a button or with a tap of the camera with a compatible smartphone or to a photo storage device such as the Canon CS100. You can even upload your creations directly to social networks or effortlessly back-up photos and videos to Canon's irista, an advanced, cloud-based image management platform.

Availability

The IXUS range will be available from late January 2016. Prices will be set at dealer discretion.
