Cassie Scerbo

With 40 mass shootings already having taken place in the US since the start of 2023, actress and anti-bullying/mental health advocate Cassie Scerbo is taking action and sharing life-saving lessons to help prevent the next mass shooting. As a former student of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL where 17 students and staff members were murdered and 17 others injured in 2018, Cassie has helped produce a powerful documentary using the Stoneman Douglas School shooting as a vehicle to illustrate and engage through the testimonies of the FBI, students, teachers, law-enforcement and SWAT commanders, teachers, psychologists and education experts of how we, as parents, teachers, and students, have the ability to act and avoid a generation lost and to protect our most vulnerable from the greatest threats of their generation. With more school shootings in the last two years than any time on record, Code Red: Youth of the Nation exposes the fatal cost of our children's education. It seeks to restore the safety of our schools by providing the tools and solutions to put an end to these tragedies.

Actress and anti-bulling advocate Cassie Scerbo (Sharknado, Bring it On, Make it or Break it") has helped produce a new documentary Code Red: Youth of the Nation. On February 14th, 2018, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz opened fire on students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in the Miami suburban town of Parkland, FL, murdering 17 people and injuring 17 others. As a former student of Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, Cassie was deeply affected by her alma mater's tragic school shooting massacre and helped produce this important documentary featuring some of the most influential young voices of America. Directed by Connor Riley and with interviews featuring Bailee Madison, Peyton List, Monique Coleman & Sarah Hyland

Code Red: Youth of the Nation searches and finds the answers of how we can protect our most vulnerable from the greatest threats of their generation. From COVID-19 and mental health, education policy and school safety, Code Red uses the deadliest high school massacre in American history at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida as a vehicle to experientially illustrate and engage through the testimonies of the FBI, students, teachers, law-enforcement and SWAT commanders, teachers, psychologists and education experts of how we, as parents, teachers and students, have the ability to act and avoid a #generationlost. With more school shootings in 2021 than any year on record, Code Red: Youth of the Nation exposes the fatal cost of our children's education. It seeks to restore the safety of our schools by providing the tools and solutions to put an end to these tragedies.

Best known for her iconic roles in the highly-popular "Sharknado" film series, "Make It or Break It," "Bring it On: In It to Win It," and ABC's "Grand Hotel," Cassie's other biggest passion is to advocate against bullying. Cassie is an advocate of mental health and is the Vice President of Boo2Bullying, a nonprofit seeking to eradicate bullying, intolerance and discrimination. First joining as a girl's youth ambassador almost 15 years ago, Cassie now helps Boo2Bullying by educating schools and parents about accepting diversity and giving young people the tools to connect with and positively impact those around them. In additional to raising funds, Cassie regularly holds fundraisers to raise money for their school programs and suicide prevention outreach.
