Chyka Keebaugh Real Housewives of Melbourne Head to Dubai Interview

Shot over one week throughout Dubai, the episodes follow The Real Housewives of Melbourne as they explore the city and beyond, from a desert safari to a gourmet dinner and cocktails at one of the city's many premium hotel bards.

During their stay in Dubai, the Real Housewives took in the best Dubai has to offer, including the beaches of Dubai, the city's world famous shopping, the Dubai souks, the Royal Bridge Suite at Atlantis the Palm and a Bedouin style desert dinner under the stars.

The Real Housewives of Melbourne screens Sundays at 8:30pm on Foxtel's Arena.

Interview with Chyka Keebaugh

Question: What surprised you about Dubai?

Chyka Keebaugh : I absolutely love Dubai and would have to say that the first time I visited it was all the buildings and sky scrapers in the middle of the desert that amazed me. It is such an incredible city at night with all the lights and also very glamorous.

Question: Can you tell us about your desert safari?

Chyka Keebaugh : I don't think anyone can come to Dubai and not go into the desert. To ride a camel along the sand dunes and watch the different colours that emerge as the lights change is beautiful.

The meal set up under the stars is also incredible and really makes you feel that you are in the middle of nowhere!

Question: Are you able to share details of your shopping purchases made in Dubai?

Chyka Keebaugh : Well I hope Bruce isn't reading this but I do my best shopping here. The variety of brands are incredible and what isn't here they get for you.

I bought a beautiful Roksanda dress - costume jewellery earrings and some amazing Afghan jewellery from the textile souk.

Question: What can we expect from the Dubai episodes?

Chyka Keebaugh : The Dubai episode I think looks so beautiful and exciting. There are many layers to the time we had here from dramas and tears, incredible locations, beautiful outfits and lots of fun.

Question: What is your top tip for Australians travelling to Dubai?

Chyka Keebaugh : In Dubai you need to be aware of the culture and dress accordingly. Be respectful with how you dress. Cover your shoulders and wear knee lengths dresses.

Sunglasses are a necessity as it helps not just with the sun but sand storms too.
Take a wrap as the air conditioning is always up very high.

Question: And, your top beauty tip for travelling in hot and humid countries, like Dubai?

Chyka Keebaugh : I'm a huge believer in looking after your skin so keep doing your normal routine but maybe use a stronger cream at night.

Drink lots of water as it can be very warm and dehydrating.
I also take eye drops as my eyes tend to become a little bit irritable and a good hair treatment for my hair too.

Question: What's next for you and your family?

Chyka Keebaugh : Bruce and I have a big year of travel both for work and play. I'm currently back in Dubai working on another event we have coming up.

Chessie is finishing her course this year and has lots of amazing things coming her way. She is off to London to do a 2 week specialty course and is still going out and having fun.

BJ is back home, loving uni and his rugby. He is working hard to take himself back over to Europe over his semester break.

I love that we are all at home together.

Bruce and I have sooooo many exciting things coming up that I can't share yet but watch this space- and I have just relaunched my web page and it's been going brilliantly.

Life's good!!
