Rising Independent Ethiopian born- Gold Coast based rapper CK the Walker returns with a party anthem for the streets - 'Thottie', available September 13th. 'Thottie' is CK's follow up offer for 2019 after releasing his latest EP 'Sea of Dreams' alongside frequent collaborator NIFFD earlier this year.
Tapping into modern cultural references, 'Thottie' serves as a feel-good anthem that CK hopes will bring his newly found listenership happiness and freedom amongst the midst of facing troubled times that one may face in their lifetime.
As a solid contributor to the evolving Gold Coast HipHop scene due to the popularity of the new wave generation, as well as mixing his Ethiopian culture, CK has already achieved some impressive accolades, having received airtime on both highly respected platforms MTV Call and Response and Triple J Unearthed. He hopes to expand is horizons with this release and feels he has reached new levels that will leave old and new listeners impressed.

Traveling leaps and bounds from making music back in his hometown Gambella (Ethiopia) under his crews' stage name 'G-Boys' (The G standing for Gambella) to now riding solo in the Gold Coast, CK has faced it all and plans to show the world his story through his music.
Question: How would you describe your music?
CK The Walker: To be honest I'm still finding my voice in these rap/ rap sing game. But I know I like to blend genres with stylistic choices. I like to be unique and stand out due to my own melodies and mixing of rap and sung content in a catchy way that really adds value to the songs replay.
Question: Can you tell us about Thottie?
CK The Walker: Thottie' represents the feeling of being able to dance, be happy and feel free to be and do whatever you want no matter the situation you are in. You can be financially stressed or have insecurities but can still stay positive and find ways to groove and celebrate life. I want to influence an uplifting mood with this track where everyone can vibe and dance to it.
Question: What motivates you most when writing music?
CK The Walker: My motivation comes from what's around me, thinking or feeling during the time and recording.
