SPEEDSTAR's debut album "Bruises You Can Touch" was released in 2002. What followed was a small but obsessive fanbase that fell in love with their naive but soaring rock songs and passionate live shows. The boys started something that they have been unable to stop, and that is a fervent work ethic that sees them traversing this big brown land playing their own shows as well as appearing at our proud festival circuit. A couple of songs from this time "This Everyday Life" and "Song For You" spent time on our nations radio playlists and therefore left a mark in our consciousness and SPEEDSTAR were always touted as the ones to watch.

Fast forward to 2004 and SPEEDSTAR are no longer showing any signs of naivety. Their new album "Forget The Sun, Just Hold On" Produced by Tony Doogan (Teenage Fanclub, Belle and Sebastian) is brimming with confidence. The first single "Unbreakable" is not only moving fans emotionally but starting to set the dancing shoes shuffling.
