Starting with plastic bottles, then denim – now the brand is transforming waste cotton into a twisted take on the iconic Chuck 70's and Chuck Taylor All Stars. Made from 30% to 40% manufacturing waste canvas and regrind rubber, the recycling process creates a texture unique to Renew.
Last year, the Renew campaign marked a new era of design from Converse, turning discarded materials into the world's most iconic and loved sneaker. The first two iterations in the collection included Renew Canvas, made from 100% recycled polyester from used plastic bottles, and Renew Denim, including upcycled textiles cut and crafted into the upper of the Chuck Taylor and Chuck 70.
Converse Renew Cotton sneakers are the latest iteration of Converse's Renew strategy aiming to develop new, innovative and more sustainable ways of creating Converse products – giving waste a second life.
The Converse Renew Cotton range is available now in low and high-top styles at converse.com.au and all Converse Flagship stores.
