Interview with CXLOE

Question: Congratulations on 1.35m streams on Low Blow! How did you celebrate this massive achievement?

CXLOE: Thank you so much, it's pretty cool! I recently just went to Bali with my partner so we had a few celebratory drinks over there.

Question: How did it feel to hear your song played all over the airwaves?

CXLOE: Really weird; it's funny; you make these songs in closed doors with only two or three people so it's very personal. Hearing it outside of those walls is scary but also so exciting - definitely mixed emotions!

Question: What inspired the track, Low Blow?

CXLOE: One too many hits below the belt. The music industry can be a very harsh, cut throat environment (like many jobs) and I think I had just reached my limit and felt burnt out. It's hard getting back up after every blow, especially when they're not fair or called for. But I'm grateful for these times as I'm building a thick skin and learning SO much.

Question: What motivates you most when writing music?

CXLOE: Two things: it is like therapy to me, so I love working through my feelings and understanding myself as much as I can. Secondly, I write music so that people can listen and know that they're not alone. I grew up listening to music and felt so comforted knowing other people felt the way I did. I hope to do the same.

Question: Do you prefer performing live or recording?

CXLOE: Performing live.

Question: Which music/artists are you currently listening to?

CXLOE: I mean imp always listening to Banks but I'm listening to a lot of Charlie Puth at the moment.

Question: What or who was your inspiration to go into the music industry?

CXLOE: My love for music and wanting to have a job where I could sing and write songs for the rest of my life.

Question: If you could collaborate with another artist, who would it be?

CXLOE: BANKS.

Question: What's a typical day like?

CXLOE: Depends which country I'm in! If I'm in Australia I'm spending a lot of time with my partner or at the dog shelter. If I'm in the US I'm writing and recording every day and fitting meetings in before and after.

Question: What has been your favourite part of becoming a music artist?

CXLOE: Getting to share my music and my message.

Question: Can you share your socials?
