Dress Like A Star

Dress Like A Star
Wardrobe mistress extraordinaire, Annebelle van Tongeren, reveals the principles of dressing to flatter in this inspiring and beautiful book.

Nothing makes a woman feel as glamorous and serene as knowing she is well dressed. The day is always brighter when we feel we are wearing the right outfit.

Unfortunately though, the whole business of choosing what to wear can be pretty scary and mistakes can be expensive. We somehow feel that we should know exactly what to wear to make us look our absolute best, but the truth is most of us don't.

Wardrobe mistress extraordinaire, Annebelle van Tongeren, knows the conundrum well. She has spent the last 20 years dressing high-profile women to make them stand out as the most gorgeous creature in the room. She knows that the design process is a matter of logic and maths, not a dark mystery only available to a chosen few, and here she reveals the principles of dressing to flatter.

Every single one of us mere mortals can dress in ways to make us glow as radiantly as a star on the red carpet. Pick up this irresistible book, turn the lovely pages and find out how.

Annebelle van Tongeren studied Fashion Design at RMIT in Melbourne before embarking on a career in television. She has spent 20 years costuming and styling on an assortment of programs: from The Comedy Company to Ten News, Young Talent Time to Australian Idol, Perfect Match to Big Brother, the Logies to the Arias. Her work has been published in marie-claire, Vogue and OK magazine, as well as all the weeklies and newspapers and she was the only make-up and wardrobe designer featured in the AFC's 2006 book, Look at Me! Fifty Years of Women in Television.

The Logie Awards have become her trademark event of the year, and she has designed and created red carpet gowns for many on-air personalities including Gretel Killeen, Tracey Spicer, Natarsha Belling, Sammi Lucas and Jessica Rowe.
