England's Dynamic talent Dylan Cartlidge has just revealed his latest feel-good track "Anything Could Happen" out Thursday 11th March via Glassnote Records. This single is the second release of 2021, following "Molasses (Walk the Walk)". Energetic and sprightly as always, "Anything Could Happen" is a gracious reminder of Dylan Cartlidge talent and charm.
"Anything Could Happen is a song that I wrote in the third UK COVID-19 lockdown. Like everyone else, I was fed up with not seeing my loved ones and hadn't left the house at all for 7 months due to my rubbish lungs. I was at a loose end, struggling with my PTSD and had no idea how I was going to finish my album.
So I decided to focus on my mantra, 'Hope Above Adversity'; the sole reason I embarked on my music career in the first place. I went back to basics and reminded myself that with a bit of hope and courage to put one foot in front of the other, anything really could happen- including finishing my album! I wrote the song as a reminder to me and anyone else who might be struggling in the face of adversity and hardship that the bad days don't last forever and if you look hard enough, there is always hope to hold onto.
With COVID vaccines being rolled out and cases falling again, I hope that this single can mark the beginning of the end of what has been such an uncertain and testing time for everyone," says Dylan.
Hailing from a small town in the North-East of England, Dylan Cartlidge has long since embraced the phrase "Hope Above Adversity" as his motto. His life path took a turn out of being submerged in adversity and gave him hope for his future when he was spotted and signed to Glassnote Records in 2018.
2020 was a mammoth year for Dylan Cartilage, the brilliant and effervescent "Yellow Brick Road" – produced by James Dring (Jamie T, Gorillaz) was released early in 2020 and truly set the tone for what was set to be an enormous next few releases. "Yellow Brick Road" has become Dylan's biggest streaming success to date, as well being supported by Radio 1's Jack Saunders, Annie Mac and Huw Stephens, spending 8 weeks on Amazing Radio's A-List, being supported by John Kennedy at Radio X, Tom Robinson on 6Music and Matt Wilkinson at Beats1.
