The next generation of green thumbs will ignite their curiosity for the garden world these school holidays by taking part in one of Eden Gardens North Ryde's gardening workshops. The three hands-on, fun and educational workshops will give children the opportunity to get their hands dirty while learning about the enchantment of plants and gardens.
Little Green Thumbs
Parents can join in their toddler's delight as they discover the magical plant world together. The practical session is packed with a heap of games, craft and gardening activities to educate participants about plants and gardens. Suitable for children aged 3-5 and their accompanied adult.
Thursday 26 September or Friday 27 September, from 10am – 11am

Carnivorous Plants
Do your kids know what a carnivorous plant is? In this workshop kids will learn about the unique habits of carnivorous plants, that is, plants that attain some of their nutrients from trapping and eating animals and insects such as spiders and bugs, including how they grow, what they eat and take home their own insect eater.
5-7 year olds: 26 September or 27 September, from 10am – 11.30am
8-12 year olds: 26 September, from 12.30pm – 2pm
Cost: $16 per child, per session
Fanciful Flowers In this blooming flower workshop, children will be shown how to dissect flowers, design stunning floral fashions for fairies and elves, pot up a flowering annual (seasonal flowers), and use their creativity to position fresh cut flowers into a mini floral arrangement.
5-7 year olds: 1 October or 3 October, from 10am – 11.30am
8-12 year olds: 1 October, from 12.30pm – 2.00pm
