To celebrate the opening of the NEW slide at the Aquatic Centre, Sydney Olympic Park is hosting a Family Fun Day on Saturday 10 June, from 9am – 12pm.
Set to replace the old water slide which was built in 1994, Splasher's Water Playground is set to cause a splash with the newly refurbished, massive, multi-coloured tube-slide.
The brand new 45-metre long slide will be open to ride from 10am. Attendees will also be able to enjoy plenty of activities to delight the whole family. Kids can enjoy complimentary face-painting and lego-fun, while mums and dads unwind with FREE massages at the Smooth FM relaxation station.
For those thinking of getting fitter, Olympic medal-winning swimmer Geoff Huegill will be there to join in on all the fun and to inspire people to add swimming to their weekly fitness regimes, with new swim plans from Speedo.
#make1kwet is Speedo's 12-week program consisting of two sessions per week designed to encourage people to get into the water and feel the multiple benefits of swimming. The program includes beginner, intermediate and advanced options, starting at 600m per session up to 1km. The program is designed to showcase that if you are a runner, cyclist or just a general fitness enthusiast, 1km in the pool is achievable… and really good for you!
Entry to the Family Fun Day is included in normal entry cost to the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, so the whole family can enjoy an affordable day of entertainment and activities.
