Fletcher Kent Shares Debut Single + Signs to AWAL

The single was produced and mixed by Grammy & ARIA-Award winning Eric J who has worked with artists like Angus and Julia Stone, Teskey Brothers, Chet Faker, and The Rubens.

Fletcher reflects on the single, "I'll Be seemed to just fall out… I didn't even think it was a song at first: more of a poem, a personal manifesto. I feel there's more of me in this song than maybe anything I've ever written. It's about my life - all of it. Passion, purpose, family, love, grief, connection. It's a look towards the future, a pledge to become the person I want to be, my intentions on how I want to live this life and exist in the world." 

The indie songwriter has made his mark globally, catching the attention of AWAL US President Pete Giberga who signed Fletcher to the label earlier this year.

Kobalt Publishing also marked him as "one to watch" signing a global deal with the 23-year-old. Fletcher Kent has already lived lifetimes. Facing difficult life lessons, he's transformed his journey into an intricate tapestry that fuels his music.

Starting as a young busker in small country towns, Fletcher learned early on how to capture and connect with an audience. That raw, authentic spirit took him to stages supporting renowned artists like The Dreggs, Vera Blue, Kim Churchill, Winterbourne, Kyle Lionhart, Noah Dillon, and Didirri, and most recently a debut performance at The Mercury Lounge in New York.

Each performance only sharpened his craft, and every sticker on his first guitar case symbolised the distance travelled in his pursuit of music and meaning.

His music dives into themes of heartbreak, resilience, and self-doubt, with lyrics that navigate the depths of human experience. With each song, Fletcher invites listeners to share in his journey, proving that even in the hardest moments, there's a path forward.
