Soon, fans around the world will get a first look at select new products inspired by the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the world's first live, global toy unboxing event unfolds across 12 countries, 15 cities and 18 hours.   Sydney kicks off this global event – so Australia is first!

Digital stars from the Maker Studios network will join forces from iconic destinations around the world, each revealing a new product LIVE for viewers at the events and via a live stream at the Star Wars YouTube Channel

Unboxing is a YouTube phenomenon,  accounting for billions of views this year alone. Fans can watch online as the celebration kicks off in Sydney at 7:45 a.m. AEST on Sept. 3 (5:45 p.m. EDT on Sept. 2) and rolls around the world. Los Angeles-based hosts will provide commentary throughout the 18+-hour event that also will include: Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Paris, Madrid, Berlin, London, Rio de Janeiro, New York City, Toronto, Chicago, Mexico City and Los Angeles. Lucasfilm in San Francisco will host the global grand finale at 8 a.m. PDT (11 a.m. EDT) on Sept. 3.

The fan celebration will continue into Sept. 4, -Force Friday,' as stores around the world open their doors at midnight when film-inspired products will hit shelves. Check www.StarWars.com for more information.
