Living in the shadow of his little brother Santa Claus takes it's toll on Fred Claus. Responsibilty not being one of his strong points, Fred Claus gets himself in trouble and looses his girlfriend and financial interest. He turns to his brother Santa for a loan, but there are strings attached, he has to come to the North Pole and help out.

Not taking it seriously Fred Claus couldn't have come at a worse time, as an efficiency expert is set on closing down Christmas. Befriending an elf and taking responsibility for his actions, Fred Claus finds his way back to the real spirit of Christmas and saves not only himself but those close to him.

An endearing film, with some great underlying messages. A family friendly movie that has something for all ages.
