The first workshop is with renowned community artist Tamara Kirby, who will teach participants how to make a stunning star shaped illuminated lantern. This one day workshop is scheduled from 9am - 3pm on Saturday 16 April, and is limited to 30 spots.

The second workshop will take place on Saturday 7 May from 8am - 12noon with local Gubbi Gubbi artist Lyndon Davis. Sixty participants will have the opportunity to learn about indigenous art while decorating one of the lanterns. Body Art originated in indigenous culture and the Indigenous Art Project aims to incorporate local indigenous art into the Australian Body Art Carnivale.
