When a local volunteer from the Heart Foundation knocks on your door this September open your heart and give generously to help save Australian lives.

During September, more than 110,000 big-hearted volunteer collectors across Australia will donate their time to knock on doors to raise more than $4.4 million to help the Heart Foundation continue to fight cardiovascular disease.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in Australia. It claims nearly 46,000 Australian lives each year's this equates to a life lost every 10 minutes. It affects two out of three Australian families.
