Impossible&rsquos Special Edition Color 600 Skins

Impossible have launched a new analogue instant color film for use in all Polaroid 600-type cameras and Impossible&rsquos own Instant Lab, Impossible&rsquos Special Edition Color 600 Skins is a wild departure from the classic square white frame that Polaroid made famous. It features frames patterned with zebra, rattlesnake, tiger, crocodile, fish, giraffe, leopard and iguana skins, the last being used for the Eye-catching design of the film pack itself.

Skins is the latest in a series of Special Edition films released by Impossible during the past six months. Others have featured black, gold, silver and mixed color frames for both 600 and SX-70 cameras.

&ldquoImpossible has always been a favorite of the fashion crowd,&rdquo says Alex Holbrook, Impossible&rsquos Berlin-based Marketing Communications Manager. &ldquoSkins underscores Impossible&rsquos position as the instant film brand of choice among industry creatives, as well as a perception that our films offer something indefinably &lsquomore&rsquo among those fashion-forward customers who want their personal images to reflect their sense of style.&rdquo

Special Edition films have been among Impossible&rsquos most successful products. The Color 600 Color Frames, launched just before Christmas, last year, has been so popular in Europe, the USA and Japan that its various production runs have sold out within a week.

The Impossible Instant Lab, which enables users to convert the digital images in their iPhones or iPods into the chemistry of instant film, is part of the reason for that success.

&ldquoWhile serious photographers prefer classic white or black frames for their work, the appeal of the Instant Lab is its surprisingly social sense of fun,&rdquo says Alex Holbrook. &lsquoOur Special Edition films enhance that. The results aren&rsquot anodyne digital prints. Instead, they&rsquore colorful and always distinctive, in the immediately recognisable frame of an original instant picture.&rdquo

The new Impossible Special Edition Color 600 Skins film is available through the Impossible Online Shop http://the-impossible-project.com and selected retail stockists worldwide.
