Having just come out of Sydney's warmest July on record, NSW's favourite water park, Jamberoo Action Park, will officially open for a new season on Saturday 7 September, in time for the school holidays (23 September – 7 October). Jam-packed with water rides and attractions, Jamberoo Action Park is located just over an hour's drive from Sydney and for the first time in its history will launch season passes making it even easier for families to keep cool this springtime and beyond!
Ready and roaring to go for another season of adrenaline-pumping fun is:
Funnel Web – Having opened midway through last season, the longest and biggest water ride of its kind in the world is back for its first full season of action. Sitting in a raft with three friends, riders will be left white-knuckled as they zoom at 30km/hr in and out of darkness, reaching multiple zero-gravity moments down the slide's 270 metres, before finally plunging into a landing pool at the end.
Banjo's Billabong – Also back for its first full season is the largest interactive water play area in the Southern Hemisphere, Banjo's Billabong. Containing over 198 different water features including slides, cannons, bridge climbs and cranks, and crowned by a 1,200 litre bucket which tips its entire water contents out onto all underneath it every few minutes, there is hours of fun to be had for all ages at this attraction!
Outback Bay – This 2.5 megalitre wave pool will have guests thinking they're at the beach! They'll be able to practice their body boarding, float on waves up to 1.5 metres high and relax on the deck chairs provided.
Surf Hill – With eight lanes of waterslide action, speedsters can race their friends on this wave-shaped speed slide. Featuring an 18 metre drop, riders will reach top speeds in their battle to be first to the bottom!
Splash Out – Riders will feel helpless as they catapult down one of two mammoth body slides, twisting and turning down a mountain, before splashing out in a landing pool at the end.
