Jeans for Genes Day is the national day when millions of Aussies pull on their jeans to help scientists raise money for the Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI). The CMRI is conducts research into understanding the causes of many genetic childhood diseases such as epilepsy and leukaemia.

There are many ways to participate:

Simply wear your jeans on Friday August 6, and make a donation, purchase a Jeans for Genes designer t-shirts or badge, or get involved in any of the fundraising events listed on the Jeansforgenes.org.au website.

Alternatively, you can make a valuable contribution to Jeans for Genes through purchasing products from select partners:

-Huggies, have designed a range of denim inspired nappies for boys and girls as part of their $200,000 contribution.
-Throughout the month of July, Krispy Kreme Australia will be selling their choc iced 'Denim Doughnuts' by the dozen with 25% of these sales pledged to Jeans for Genes.
-Purchase any jeans from Fletcher Jones during the week Monday 2 August - Sunday 8 August and Fletcher Jones will donate $10 per pair to Jeans for Genes.
