Kaya Coleman Beyond Black Beauty

Rising star Kaya Coleman, the lead actress in the reimagined Prime Video series Beyond Black Beauty, premiering Tuesday October 15th, Kaya takes on the lead role in this modern reimagining of the beloved classic, bringing a fresh and powerful perspective to a story that has touched generations.

Kaya brings fresh energy to this beloved classic, portraying 'Jolie Dumont,' a young Black equestrian navigating family, identity, and the bond between humans and horses. Kaya's portrayal shines a light on the importance of representation and diversity in storytelling, making her a compelling figure in today's entertainment landscape as a bi-racial actress.

A talented actress and model, Kaya began her career at just 4 years old and has since starred in campaigns for Lululemon, Arc'teryx, Oak + Fort, Elate Cosmetics and Native Shoes, among others. With a degree in Medical Molecular Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia, Kaya brings depth and drive to her work both on and off camera. Following the completion of her degree, Kaya moved to Vancouver where she completed the Rogues West Ensemble Acting Program and trained with McIlroy and Associates.
