Kaya brings fresh energy to this beloved classic, portraying 'Jolie Dumont,' a young Black equestrian navigating family, identity, and the bond between humans and horses. A talented actress and model, Kaya began her career at just 4 years old and has since starred in campaigns for Lululemon, Arc'teryx, Oak + Fort, Elate Cosmetics and Native Shoes, among others. With a degree in Medical Molecular Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia, Kaya brings depth and drive to her work both on and off camera. Following the completion of her degree, Kaya moved to Vancouver where she completed the Rogues West Ensemble Acting Program and trained with McIlroy and Associates.
