Each workshop offers rewarding and unforgettable experiences including Write Your Own Book, New Worlds, Future Stories, Future Inventions, Animal Tales, Skilled Young Writers and Rhetoric and Persuasion.
The Writing Workshop program – of which kids can book for one or more workshops – is designed to help build confidence, develop creativity, improve literacy and of course, have lots of fun. Running as part of Kids in the Park for the twelfth year now, Bernard Cohen's The Writing Workshop program is a popular at Olympic Park among kids of all ages.
'The Writing Workshop's goal is to make writing fun. We help children use their imaginations to get their ideas onto the page in new and creative ways. They build skills and learn new techniques and ways of thinking, and it's all underpinned by real enjoyment. We laugh a lot!" Dr Bernard Cohen says.
Sydney Olympic Park is once again offering stacks of FREE post-Easter activities. Kids aged 5- 12 years can also take part in a Heritage Hunt at Newington Armory, or those of all ages are welcome to honour Australian atheletes at The Path of Champions. Kids in the Park autumn 2018 also includes regular favourites such as FREE Clue Trails and The Amazing Chase bike race as well as archery, the BirdLife Discovery Centre and loads more.
