The fun doesn't stop when Easter does this autumn school holiday period, thanks to Kids in the Park autumn 2018 catering for all your post-chocolate fun! There is just so much to love about this time of year, especially at Sydney Olympic Park. From Circus Solarus' A Very Birdy Journey for the little ones and Circus Arts for older children to Space Racing for Kids, The Amazing Chase bike race and so much more, the excitement will continue at Olympic Park long after the Easter bunny's left town.

The Kids in the Park  autumn program, from April 14 - 29 (inclusive) has something for everyone with activities to suit all tastes, ages and budgets including FREE, NEW and great-value, affordable options.

The Writing Workshop is a highlight the autumn program with seven seperate workshops at Bicentennical Park directed by Dr Bernard Cohen, an Australian award-winning author including the title-holder of 2015 Russell Prize for Humour Writing. Each workshop offers rewarding and unforgettable experiences including Write Your Own Book,  New Worlds, Future Stories,  Future Inventions, Animal Tales, Skilled Young Writers and  Rhetoric and Persuasion. 

The Writing Workshop program – of which kids can book for one or more workshops – is designed to help build confidence, develop creativity, improve literacy and of course, have lots of fun. Running as part of Kids in the Park for the twelfth year now, Bernard Cohen's The Writing Workshop program is a popular at Olympic Park among kids of all ages.

'The Writing Workshop's goal is to make writing fun. We help children use their imaginations to get their ideas onto the page in new and creative ways. They build skills and learn new techniques and ways of thinking, and it's all underpinned by real enjoyment. We laugh a lot!" Dr Bernard Cohen says.

Sydney Olympic Park is once again offering stacks of FREE post-Easter activities. Kids aged 5- 12 years can also take part in a Heritage Hunt at Newington Armory, or those of all ages are welcome to honour Australian atheletes at The Path of Champions. Kids in the Park autumn 2018 also includes regular favourites such as FREE Clue Trails and The Amazing Chase bike race as well as archery, the BirdLife Discovery Centre and loads more.

For those who want to get more active these school holidays the Kids in the Park autumn 2018  program includes Swimming Intensive Program, Basketball: MyHoops, Netball – Captain's Class  or even the all time favourite Gymnastics program. Kids in the Park autumn 2018 offers a broad range of choices to keep kids' bodies moving and their spirits high.

Budding filmmakers can hone their skills at the Digital Filmmaking Workshop and Kids in the Park Film Festival, kids can get amongst the Aquatic Centre at the Rapid River Ride running DAILY or the hugely popular Splasher's Water Playground open 7 days a week including Public Holidays.

For those overwhelmed by the array of choice, for the first-time drop into the Kids in the Park fun hub at Bicentennial Park, a one-stop shop for all of your school holiday fun. Speak to the friendly Sydney Olympic Park staff while the kids enjoy kids craft and music.
