Kurrajong Kitchen Cheese Lovers Festival is excited to announce its new location at Centennial Park's Brazilian Fields on Saturday 16 June, 2018. Previously held in the Hunter Valley, the festival will celebrate its third birthday in Sydney with exciting new additions to its annual celebration of the much-loved dairy product.
The one-day festival will bring along its classics such as cheese-related workshops, the amateur Fancy Cheesecake Competition, fine dining, live music and kid's entertainment. To celebrate its new home, it also welcomes new additions such as the Global Cheese District where cheese lovers can rest easy in giving equal cheese eating opportunities to global counterparts from France, Italy and Spain to name a few. For serious cheese fans, there will be an exclusive VIP tent that offers a massage zone to help you digest your cheese baby, -VIPicnic' area and plenty of exclusive extras and treats.
Another highlight for visitors is an intimate lunch hosted and designed by the talented Justine Schofield, host of Everyday Gourmet and former Masterchef contestant. Designed exclusively for the festival, guests can indulge in her three course French heritage inspired cheese menu. Justine will also be running a free cooking with cheese workshop and judging the festival's amateur Fancy Cheesecake Competition; watch without drooling or champion your inner Masterchef.
Justine said, "Cheese is an important part of my life and heritage, so I'm proud to champion this wonderful ingredient at this unique festival. It's exciting to see the innovation and progress Australia has made to the cheese making industry and my menu will focus on celebrating some amazing Aussie cheese produce with a fun twist on classics!"
The festival will also be celebrating cheese innovators such as Melbourne's internet sensation Stix, who are making their first debut outside their bricks and mortar with their frozen cheese cake on a stick. No cheese lover is left out this year as the festival hosts its very first vegan cheese stall, Sprout & Kernel. Visitors are encouraged to learn, taste and drink their way around the festival with over 50 stalls showcasing mixed selection of cheese, wine, beer and other delicious friends of cheese.
On sale now, tickets will be capped to ensure appropriate cheese appreciating space. Join us the celebrate the great diversity and taste that cheese has to offer in a festival like no other.
