Laud's Time to Shake It up at VAMFF

Laud's Time to Shake It up at VAMFF

"Praise (a person or their achievement) Highly"

Laud stands by its definition - "Praise (a person or their achievement) Highly" - aiming to create praise for its quality and design.

Showcasing for the very first time at this year's Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, Laud delivers its core ethos by taking part in the Australian Fashion Connect Independent Runway to benefit UN Women Australia, an organisation committed to women's rights and equality. The event will host two sessions (1 pm and 4 pm) on Sunday 11 March held at the Windsor Hotel.

Laud's launch collection features a modern, simplistic aesthetic, whilst delivering quality craftsmanship in the form of Swiss Movement, Sapphire Crystal with Anti-Reflective Coating, Real Marble Dials and on-trend Monogramming. Laud fills the gap in the market for a truly high-quality, unisex, minimalist timepiece with premium specifications, as an influx of low-quality, basic minimalist watches fills the market.

"Our focus in the design process has always been and always will be, to craft timepieces worthy of their luxurious status - with fashion and functionality at the forefront", says husband-and-wife designers and founders, James and Joanna Ross. The collection will be showcased on the runway with the help of Adelaide designer label 'Don't Do Pretty', with their strong, empowering and tailored designs creating a perfect canvas to introduce Laud to Melbourne's fashion aficionados.

"We are really excited to be part of this event, not only to show our support for such an important cause that is Women's Rights, but to show our customers that a minimalist watch label can be more than just a fashion accessory - you can also have the functionality that you only see on premium, luxury watch brands. And showcasing at VAMFF shows we mean business", says the designers.

With Instagram It-Girl, Belle Lucia, touted as Australia's Kylie Jenner with her massive following and trademark full lips, fronting the Summer Campaign, Laud makes its mark with features in British Vogue, Vanity Fair, British GQ, GQ Australia and Fashion Journal magazines.

Laud is just beginning - as Collection 1.5 is unveiled on the runway.
