Australia's only film festival especially for kids, Little Big Shots, returns to Sydney Opera House from 2nd August.

An inspiring and fun-filled festival, Little Big Shots features the best in local and international children's short films, animation, documentaries and child-produced films. Little Big Shots has been part of the Opera House program since 2006 and in that time over 17,000 people have enjoyed the programs of short film for toddlers to early teens.

The films screening in Little Big Shots inspire discussion of world cultures, language, cultural diversity, emotional intelligence and human values. Better still, they will make kids laugh, whoop, think and create. Each year, Little Big Shots returns with a whole new crop of juicy screen adventures to amaze and delight.

The signature film for the 2013 Little Big Shots festival will be the Academy Award winning, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore, directed by William Joyce and Brandon Oldenburg. Originally released in 2011, it tells the story of a man who devotes himself to looking after a magical library of flying books. The film has entranced audiences and won awards around the world. Now we are delighted to bring this wonderful piece of cinema to Australian audiences.
