Lithuanian Superstar Jovani Release New Single Figure It Out

Lithuanian native Dj / Producer Jovani has announced the release of his latest single "Figure it Out" available on all digital retailers now. As one half of the acclaimed Dj duo Radistai, it's safe to assume that Jovani has already had his fair share of success.

Despite millions of downloads, his own radio station, and countless sold out arenas, the young Dj decided to take a leap of faith and try his wings as a solo artist, a risky move that proved to be a fruitful one.

"This new single is about mending a broken heart, it's a concept that I can really relate to, and so can my fans." says Jovani. "Figure it out" is a radio friendly EDM banger with elements of both tropical house and trap.

It is the follow up track to the hit single "Keep it to myself" featuring Jazzu that charted in several countries and earned him a "Song Of The Year" nomination at the Lithuanian Grammys. The track feature a performance by up and coming group "Youth Appeal".

Interview with Max Billion

Question: What inspired your move to songwriting and producing?

Max Billion: I'd been touring with my band Everywhere for a long time and at some point I just felt that I needed to shake things up and really master the craft of songwriting. I was also driven to it for practical reasons, hiring producers and mixers is very expensive and it's often difficult to communicate your vision, so producing myself would save me both money and also make it easier on the communicative side. As soon as I started the floodgates were blasted wide open and things started moving forward rapidly.

Question: Can you tell us about the song you wrote, Figure it Out?

Max Billion: I wrote it along with my friends Violet Skies, Harleymoon Kemp and Markus Videsater. It's a song about a break up and how it sometimes can turn you into kind of a maniac. It was written over in London during an afternoon earlier this year. Violet and Harley are my favourite people to work with. They always bring a unique female perspective to the table which is completely crucial sometimes. I've had some pretty messy breakups myself over the years but I'm not always acting out the same way other people can.

Question: What was it like working with Jovani on Figure it Out?

Max Billion: He is just the greatest guy, and he's a true genius when it comes to production. He has a big audience and he knows what they like. This is probably the forth song we've worked on and I've been to his sold out arena concerts. It's a blast to hear 10 000 people sing along to your tune. Almost an unreal feeling.

Question: What motivates you most when writing music?

Max Billion: I'm a music lover, but I'm also a very ambitious guy, and that has driven me to being very strict with my schedule. I plan my days out in detail and I stick to it like a religion. I sometime question whether my work really stems from pure love of music or if there's a certain amount of prestige involved as well. The only solid conclusion I can draw is that there must be a combination of both. The idea of success appeals to me almost as much as the music itself. I want people to admire me, and I'm not ashamed of it.

Question: Which music/artists are you currently listening to?

Max Billion: I have such a diverse taste. The recent 90's fashion boom has made me rediscover old rock stuff such as Alanis Morissette. To me "Jagged Little Pill" is the greatest album of all time. I've also been listening a lot to Def Leppard's album "Hysteria". I realise that it's probably considered a guilty pleasure, but I don't care. I'll flaunt it wide open for the world to mock.

Question: What or who was your inspiration to go into the music industry?

Max Billion: As a front man of my band Everywhere, I guess I was inspired by bands such as The Killers and Kings Of Leon. Max Martin has always been a huge inspiration ever since my childhood and the Cheiron era.

Question: If you could collaborate with another artist, who would it be?

Max Billion: Probably Maroon 5 or Post Malone.

Question: What's a typical day like?

Max Billion: I get up around 5.30am, start work around 7am. Most of the time I write a song and make a bunch of beats right up until lunch time. After lunch I either have a session with an artist or songwriter or I keep making songs. At 3 in the afternoon I'll go out for a 45 minute power walk and then I'll answer emails and do admin stuff for the rest of the day. I usually go to bed around 8.30-9 pm. Not very rock n roll.

Question: Can you share your socials?
