Medibank Icehouse Open Queen's Birthday Long Weekend

To celebrate the Queen's Birthday, Medibank Icehouse will open for the entire long weekend, including extended hours of 9am - 10pm on Monday 8^th June.

For both experienced and new skaters, Medibank Icehouse offers a world on winter fun, with activities for every age and ability.

The long weekend's program will include free beginner lessons and a Hockey Master's Tournament.

Hockey Masters Tournament: Run by Night Owls Hockey Clubs, the 27^th annual Ice Hockey Masters Tournament will feature 22 Australian teams with players over 35. This event is the biggest and eldest of its kind in the Southern hemisphere and will run from Friday morning to Sunday evening.

Free Beginner Lessons: For those who have never skated or who may just be looking for a refresher, Medibank Icehouse offer free beginner lessons at various times throughout the day. In each lesson participants will learn the basics of ice skating including walking, balancing and stopping and some more advanced techniques like glides and backwards skating.
