Performed on the 17th and 18th of March only, join Melbourne Playback Theatre Company as they present two surprising and dynamic events, catering to all age groups.
Love is Love (all age groups welcome but some adult content may be present):
Love is joyous, love is painful, love is union, commitment, marriage, love is… love.
Melbourne Playback Theatre Company invites Melbourne to join them for TWO SHOWS ONLY as they celebrate, investigate, and reflect on what love means to us as individuals. The recent postal survey regarding same sex marriage was a difficult and confronting process for many in the LGBTQIA+ and wider community. Australia voted YES, so let's now celebrate the outcome together and take some time to share our stories of love.
Imaginarium (suitable for ages 0 - 12):
Welcome to Imaginarium; your stories, live on stage for TWO SHOWS ONLY!
Remember that time you went to the beach… made a new friend… read a good book… climbed that super high tree? Well, we want to hear about it. Bring your sisters, brothers, cousins, and friends. Bring your grown-ups, grandparents, and neighbours. Come and share your stories and see them turned into theatre before your very eyes!
Melbourne Playback Theatre Company events are made up of real life stories. Stories and experiences from audiences (inspired by the show theme) are invited to be shared and are then turned into one-off unique theatre works by a team of highly skilled actors and musicians. In a safe and comfortable space, audience are invited to sit back, watch and enjoy, or share an experience and become a part of the show.
Melbourne Playback Theatre Company's ensemble of professional actors, musicians and MCs have been delighting audiences for over 35 years with their unique form of improvised theatre that transforms real-life stories into theatre. Their shows are popular and delightful for audiences of all ages.
