Kevin Ingram, Mounties Club President, said: 'Adding the first ever cake competition will be -the Icing on the Cake challenge' for the annual Mounties Biggest Morning Tea event.
'The new element of this competition will help us raise more money for this important cause, while allowing us to join together and enjoy the cake decorating artistry during our -Tea Party'. Be sure to bring your family and friends to Mounties to take part in making a difference to our local loved ones battling cancer."
According to Cancer Australia, one in every two Australian men and one in every three Australian women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. In 2013, 125,000 Australian's were diagnosed with cancer and this number is expected to increase by 20% in the next seven years.
'It's our chance to do something that may seem small, but that can have an everlasting impact on our community and throughout Australia. Mounties is matching every dollar raised, so that our combined fundraising efforts make the greatest impact possible," Mr Ingram said.
