Napoleon Perdis Debuts Mineral Makeup Collection

Napoleon Perdis Debuts Mineral Makeup Collection
Rock On With Napoleon
After years of being quizzed about the merits of mineral makeup, Napoleon Perdis is moving into the mineral category with his new Rock On collection. Why the wait? "I haven't been a fan of the mineral makeup market," Napoleon explains. "A lot of mineral makeup is chalky, dehydrating and ageing. But after years of trial, error, and more trial, my lab presented me with two new formulations that bottled the best of skin-soothing minerals with the latest, light-diffusing textures and a luxurious, weightless finish." He handed over the first batch of samples to his team to trial and he conducted his own trials backstage at New York Fashion Week and on set at his campaign shoots. "The primer sets the skin up for a perfectly even, shine-free canvas while the liquid foundation creates a truly flawless finish that even stands up to the demands of high definition film."

This collection is loaded with skin-nourishing antioxidants and sodium hyaluronate to reduce signs of ageing and restore skin's youthful radiance. Both of the oil-free, paraben-free and hypoallergenic formulas are appropriate for all skin types. "I'm thrilled to be making my debut into the mineral category," says Napoleon. "And you'll love that it combines mineral ingredients with light-diffusing elements for truly invisible coverage. In short, this collection rocks."

Mattifying Mineral Primer ($39 AUD)
Napoleon Says: "For the mineral girl living in a material world."
This is no ordinary primer. The translucent superfine powder formula repairs skin before - and after - foundation application by absorbing oil and creating a flawless even texture. The blend of super antioxidants includes grape seed extract, white tea extract and aloe vera to calm and nourish the complexion and prevent dryness. The nutrient-rich formula is also free of parabens, oil and talc.
PRO TIP: Shake lightly and open to release. The sifter mechanism measures out enough for one application. Apply with a large powder brush and sweep over the feature focus area of the face particularly the T-Zone and areas of redness. Follow with Advanced Mineral Makeup or your favourite Napoleon Perdis foundation. The primer can also be used over foundation as a translucent powder to set your base.

Advanced Mineral Makeup ($69 AUD)
Created in the lab and tested at our hi-def photo shoots, this liquid mineral foundation creates a natural, semi-matte finish with SPF 15 protection. The Skin Optic Technology provides luminescent pigments to hide imperfections and reduces signs of ageing, while natural bark extracts absorb excess oil and eliminate shine. Plus, sodium hyaluronate and squalane provide hydration and boost collagen production. The hypoallergenic, oil-free formula is available in six shades.
PRO TIP: Apply Advanced Mineral Makeup using Sable Brush 19b and blend across the T-zone of your face. Do as Napoleon and apply in stippling motions (short and gentle strokes) on the face to create a totally natural-looking finish.
