The Awards, which were originally established by the National Asthma Council Australia in 1998, celebrate the important role the media play in asthma education in Australia, acknowledging and rewarding achievement and excellence.

Journalists are invited to submit asthma-related stories published or broadcast during the 2009/10 financial year.

Winners will be announced at the National Asthma Council Australia's 21st anniversary celebration in Melbourne on the evening of Thursday August 19, 2010.
