Every thought that comes into our mind is not something we need to blame ourselves for, it's only the ones we hold and add onto, that we need to be aware of.
For instance, if we thought that someone had told an untruth about us, we may think to ourselves, "that was nasty of them" and that thought would be OK. But if we went on to think "I've a damn good reason to give them a piece of my mind", then this would constitute a negative thought. One thought like this can spark a whole chain reaction of negativity.
Try to identify the difference between a normal thought and a negative thought. Simply noticing something about someone, or something, which may lead to negative thinking, is not necessarily a negative thought.
To notice that the lawn is in need of mowing is not a negative thought, but if you then went on to say to someone "how many times have I asked you to mow the lawn?" and "I can't seem to get you to do anything for me", is when it becomes negative.
In this instance, it would be much better to mow the lawn yourself, or think about how you could impress on the other person that the lawn needs mowing. Write a note or ask them if they would have the time in their schedule to mow the lawn? This would be a more positive approach.
Seeing someone doing something and thinking it could be done a better way, is not a negative thought. But consider if it really matters that they are doing it their way. On the other hand, you might observe that the way they are doing it could hurt them or someone else, then it would be positive to say something.
Just be careful, keeping in mind that what and how you say it may create a negative reaction. It would be much more positive to point out your concern for their safety and the potential to harm others. Getting upset about the way people are behaving or doing something is the beginning of negativity. Doing something corrective or pointing out the possibility of hurting oneself or somebody else is a positive beginning.
The opposite of negative is positive and one needs the other to identify the course you need to take to make things better in your life.
Take time each day to ask your guardian angel to help you to work and think in a positive way.
Use the mantra, "I ask my God and guardian angel to help me to work in peace, love, tranquility and patience with all people and events that transpire on this day."
May you find your guardian angel, try to love all things and peace be with you.
