Negative Thoughts

Negative Thoughts
Where does a negative thought come from?

If you came across a magic fairy with a magic wand, what would you ask for? Would you ask for wealth, happiness and good health or would you ask to be poor, sad, ill and have a life full of despair? I think we all know what our choices would be.

When we were babies we really didn't have too much to worry about. We were fed, kept warm and clean and were told what good, little, gorgeous babies we were. We wouldn't have known whether we were being treated badly or otherwise.

You see at that time we were pretty helpless little creatures who couldn't answer back, couldn't do anything but just be. We were totally dependent on others who had complete control over us. Then we grew up.

On the way through our growth we broke things and got told off, we answered back and got told off, we tried to do things ourselves and didn't get them quite right and got told off. All the feedback towards you was negative and your belief system said, "I'll never be any good, I break things, I'm rude and whatever I try to do, always comes out wrong. Therefore, I deserve not to be happy and enjoy life. I should get angry with myself and punish myself."

Life would be perfect if everybody did the same thing, thought the same way and believed in the same things - wouldn't it?

Isn't life more interesting because we are different?

Yet because we are different some people want to label us as idiots, no hopers, losers, nerds etc. and some of us allow ourselves to believe, "that is what we are".

Now is the time to take charge of yourself and forget about trying to alter the way people feel and think about you. You can't alter them but you can change the way you think and feel. You can choose to not allow yourself to become hurt and offended by other people's behaviour because they are YOUR feelings.

Own your negative thoughts and feelings and make a decision to do something about them. For example, "I will not allow other people to upset me". "I can change the way I choose to react".

Ask your guardian angel to help you to imagine a protective shield or force field surrounding and protecting you against other people's negative behaviour. When you meditate, ask them to give you guidance on how best to combat negativity.

If you work on yourself, you will find that in time you will become stronger and able to cope and the people who do get in your face, won't have such an impact on you.

May you find your guardian angel, try to love all things and peace be with you.
